The Magic Meter

Description

The Magic Meter is a math story for children aged 7-13 where they learn about the Metric units of length from King William. Every day, he uses his meter to measure things, until he meets Mr. Toad who is smaller than one meter. He doesn’t know what to do and breaks the meter apart into 10 equal pieces.

He realizes that each pieces is the size of Mr. Toad and calls it a decimeter (which is one tenth of a meter).

As he goes through the land he meets Sammy the Snail and Milly the Ant and discovers the centimeter and the millimeter.
