COSTA RICA HERE WE COME!


Queens’ College students started the first day of their journey on the Annual Costa Rica trip on Friday, March 31, 2023.


Despite not being able to travel during 3 years of the pandemic, 2023 was the year that students got the chance to experience Spanish immersion once again.


Arriving at LPIA at 5:20am was not an easy task but everyone arrived and headed to Miami for a short turnaround to head to San Jose Costa Rica.


Upon arrival in San Jose, we were met by our tour guide Jason who took us to lunch at a typical Costa Rican restaurant. Some enjoyed the typical national dish called Casado made of rice and beans, salad, plantain, meat and salsa. Others enjoyed chicken fingers and french fries.


At CPI, students were able to have a tour of the school, play some basketball and have a brief orientation to Costa Rican culture and what to expect in the coming weeks.


Host families soon arrived to take students to their respective homes for the evening.
