DAY 6 – CLASSES CONTINUE
Students were again excited today to get to school today for the third day. As usual the group met at the church and headed towards the school through the neighbourhood.
Classes ran again until 10am when we had our break with coffee, juice and fruit. Then it was back to class again until 12:00 noon.
For today’s outing and lunch we visited Perrito de Pepe – a local restaurant on the Calle Principal on the way home. Burgers, fries, beans & rice, fresh juice were again on the menu and everyone left satisfied.
On the way home, we stopped at the pharmacy and then it was on to our mamaticas to see what she had prepared for dinner.
Tomorrow we head through the mountains to see the river, crocodiles and a new part of Costa Rica – Monteverde which is in the mountains. We are so excited for this weekend!
Since the country basically closes down for Semana Santa (Holy Week) due to Good Friday and Easter, classes end until next week which allows us to see another part of Costa Rica and see the processions in the streets as Costaricans re-enact the Crucifixion story in the streets.
