DAYS 12 TO 14 – BACK TO CLASSES

On Tuesday, we returned to classes at CPI after a fun weekend to learn more Spanish. Now that all activities are finished, we can concentrate on the language and spending more time with our tica families.

On Wednesday, we ordered pizza for lunch  and had it delivered to CPI from a local pizzeria called Mas Pizza. The pizzas we so large! 16 slices per pizza – 3 pizzas gave us 48 slices to share – it was more than enough. We tried the Ham and Cheese, BBQ Chicken and Pepperoni versions – which were all delicious. The scenery in the kitchen area of CPI is decorated with native plants like Crepe Myrtle and Ginger (also found in The Bahamas) to admire while we eat.

WE DID IT – CERTIFICATES EARNED!

On Thursday, we had our last day of classes which ended with an official Certificate Ceremony at 1:00 p.m. Each teacher gave their thanks for the students’ participation and outstanding performance in classes and issued each with a certificate. The ceremony ended with a surprise video powerpoint that Jason put together. We did not know that the entire 2 weeks he was taking secret photos of us in various locations in order for us to look back and see what we had done the entire 2 weeks. There were many laughs and screams as we saw each of our photos, but we thoroughly enjoyed the time spent in Costa Rica

PURA VIDA!
